After over 20 years banking with them I was debanked...

After over 20 years banking with them I was debanked by Barclays, who refused to give me a reason. They closed all my accounts except for my mortgage, which meant I could no longer use the offset arrangement I had. I had just months before paid over £1000 arrangement fee to get an offset mortgage which worked well for me because I have a large savings pot. It would also cost me over £1000 to end the arrangement early. As long-standing, loyal customers, we were treated like criminals by our own bank. Reviewed on: 9th February 2025

Great Banking App with many extra features

Love the Barclays app as it is easy to navigate and use and has many features some other banks don't.. also love the fact that I can personalise my debit card with my own photograph or design.. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

Inaccurate, incontactable and full of errors

It's almost impossible to open a bank account with this company. I received an error code when signing up and the phone number the app gave me put me through to Brittany Ferries who said they had received lots of these calls! How can you trust a company with your money when they can't get the important details right. The support chat in the app constantly crashes before you can type a message. Terrible bank. They have ATMs available

Excellent app and online interface.

Just useless

Terrible experience with the platinum credit card. Avoid it at all cost to not incur in some really bad experience as happened to me. I needed to purchase something and for two days in a row the bank frozen my CC saying it was for a security reason. Payments in any way were not going through, by app, apple wallet or using it with the pin. I needed to call customer service all the times, a waste of time. Really awkward situations. On top of that, my CC keeps disappearing from the app, so you need to keep on calling them to hear the same music all the times. Ridiculous! Something to take into account for future... Great bank

Greedy bank
