Poor customer service/ ridiculous fraud dept

Recently changed jobs and after receiving first pay in bank they froze my account furnace to the payment from the new company being paid in euros. I have worked all over the world an been paid in multiple currencies and never had an issue. was told that I need to tell the bank who I’m working for , where my pay is coming from and for how much each month. This is bull ! And not stated in the t&c’s I was left stranded in west Africa without access to my bank ! left for days without a penny. Service centre refused to let me talk with anyone in the relative department as the do not “discuss investigations” with the customer.
I am disgusted by the way Clydesdale have treated me and feel alienated.
in the process of finding a different bank due to the lack of professionalism and pure disregard for serious issues.
was not given a time frame on when it would be resolved , simply told that I have to wait until their investigation has been completed.
Stay away from Clydesdale bank at all costs ! horrible customer service and lack of knowledge.

My partner has banked with Clydesdale for 10 years, and only for that reason he thought we should get our mortgage through the bank. After his first appointment with a women he was trying to contact her through emails and multiple phone calls and not one of them were returned for almost 2 weeks! Eventually we came to the point where we had to get things done so we visited the branch and we were told we wouldn't be able to get an appointment for more than 3 weeks. We had no time to wait around at this point after trying to contact her multiple times, we decided to go elsewhere and found better service! Very very disappointed.

Shocking service regarding mortgage application, clueless under informed staff, arrogant manager. Made a complain- they never replied. Complain about that (!) was told that Clydesdale doesn't have a timescale to reply for complaints. Read between the lines: " We don't care about you or your complaints". That is a statement from their website: We won’t charge you for raising a complaint. That is a sick joke!!!

While down in England for the weekend I was short of cash and my wife contacted Clydesdale bank to transfer money from our savings account but they refused as we had only put the money in the savings account a few days earlier so left with very little money so my weekend has been ruined, thank you Clydesdale bank! Have been with this bank for many years but will now be looking for a new bank.
