At Smart Money People, we've been using the power of reviews from consumers like you since 2014 to help change and improve financial services. It can be extremely frustrating, and often expensive when things go wrong as a Santander customer - whether it's about your main bank account, savings, mortgages, or any other Santander financial product, you want resolution, and quickly. If they've disappointed you, sometimes it feels like the only way to move forward is to escalate your dissatisfaction with a company in the form of a complaint. That's why we want to improve the way that companies deal with complaints from customers.

I am self isolating and have been for five weeks,however I need to carry out some transactions .
I have attempted to register for internet& telephone banking.
In order to do so the process means I receive a PIN number which would be sent to my home or mobile number,obviously I am not at home and because of the remote location I am staying at the moment I have no mobile signal.
For security reasons,they Have refused to use the number of my current location or use my email address.
As a result,I will now have to make a 140 round trip to Inverness.
It’s my only option.
Going to close my account at the first opportunity

Slow service, can't close an account online have to download form and take to branch (if still open). If security get involved over a payment you'll be asked to phone and then shunted from one queue to another. BTW if you use google chrome the TSB...

Most greedy bank in the UK, stay away.

For over 20 years I had an arranged overdraft with Lloyds before I was hived off to the TSB. I paid Lloyds an agreed interest rate of 3% over base...

For over 20 years I had an arranged overdraft with Lloyds before I was hived off to the TSB. I paid Lloyds an agreed interest rate of 3% over base rate.
After TSB had held my account for a few months I received a letter telling me that they were cancelling that arrangement and instead would charge me 19% - 18.5% over base rate. I complained, they refused to do anything at all.
A few weeks ago I received another letter this time telling me that instead of 19% interest they would now be charging almost 40% instead.
My account has never been disorderly in any way at all.
TSB are the most greedy and arrogant bank I have ever heard of.
Don't go anywhere near them if you value your wallet.

Terrible experience

I was paying for home insurance for almost 3 years, no claim until my phone start playing around. After speaking to the phone for hours the outcome was that I had to increase my premiums otherwise I cannot claim for my insurance.

Awful

From a small business perspective, TSB has been awful. Consistent on-going problems - poor internet baking, confused staff in local branch, inflexible terms and conditions, even basic things are made difficult.
