Don't Break Down 80 Miles From Home!!!!

What a waste of time this lot were last October when we broke down 80 miles from home. It took almost 4 hours for them to get someone to us; car couldn't be fixed on spot so taken to a breakdown depot - rather than a proper garage - spent hours there...

What a waste of time this lot were last October when we broke down 80 miles from home. It took almost 4 hours for them to get someone to us; car couldn't be fixed on spot so taken to a breakdown depot - rather than a proper garage - spent hours there and finally told car wasn't worth fixing. Spoke on phone to Drive 24/7 again saying we wanted taking home with our car - they said they would but it would cost us £350! Depot manager said they would do it for £275. So having little choice asked them to take us and the car home. Finally got home about 9 hours after making initial call to Drive 24/7. Our local garage then fixed our car in a few hours and at a reasonable cost - it's still running fine now. Tried to contact Drive 24/7 to make a claim for repayment of cost of getting home, but could not get reply - by post or email. So now my complaint has gone to the Ombudsman - waiting to see what happens next. So, take my advice and avoid using Drive 24/7.

Draw your own conclusion from this: I paid for breakdown cover with Drive24-7 and was then informed by Emergency Assist that I was not covered because they were no longer in partnership with Drive24-7 (this should have come from Drive24-7!). Attempts to contact Drive24-7 were not responded too - Mobile on answer phone and emails rejected? Then when I finally got a response it was to say that if I had taken out another breakdown policy (which of course I had) they would refund me the money paid in good faith. I got through to Emergency Assist without difficulty and managed to get a working email for Drive24-7. I then forwarded to them proof of my new policy so that a refund could be issued to me - Nothing, despite several wasted attempts! A thoroughly disappointing company.

I had a fan belt failure in January this year. they arrived well within the hour and towed my car to my usual garage a few miles away.. which is the cover I bought.
Mechanic was polite and cheerful... Customer Service took some time to locate my policy but overall I was happy with the service.

Dont know where the rumour of "Company gone bust in December" sprang up... but in January they were operating here in Manchester

Having purchased my cover (my 2nd year and absolutely no issues the previous year) 2 weeks later I have a letter from 'Emergency Assist Ltd' stating Drive24/7 have not paid their fees so my cover is cancelled.......

I have contacted the following, all to no avail:

admin@drive24-7.com

All I expect is my refund. They have provided me no service. I will not be paying any admin fees either as it is due to them I have had the policy cancelled.

I paid 12.10.16 by mistake insurance, the next day I talked to customer service for the cancel I sent 3 messages from the cancel of policey. and after 11 days of fighting to recover money minus 15 pounds because no one wanted concat with me in 24 hours after when I send a message with cancellation. a bad insurance , not recommend to anyone
