I recommend you DO NOT touch this company I cancelled my policy as my car was sold on, the cancellation was actually an extremely simple process with nothing I could see online suggesting hidden costs for cancelling - however this is where things took a turn for the worst - 16 days later they finally confirmed the policy was cancelled I then receive a letter to advise I owed £130 with no explanation as to what this charge was for. I then emailed to ask what the charge was for before I made the payment. As any normal person would in this situation This was at the start of September - 2 weeks later I am yet to hear back from them explaining what the charge is for. In the meantime, they sent this “charge” to a collections agency they work with called the ICB, as a scaremonger tactic to force me to pay - Unfortunately this worked as I was afraid this would affect my credit score. I have paid this fee now to which I have NO idea what its in relation too - and I am yet to receive an explanation for this fee. I am STILL waiting in Goskippy to actually email me back…. GoSkippy is the first car insurer I’ve stayed with for more than one year as their renewal quote beat all other quotes. Usually insurers hike prices for renewals. Their online systems are easy to use and it’s simple to make changes or report an incident or claim. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Absolute jokers

The worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with. Want over £600 more to change vehicle when other companies are less. To put this into perspective, they want £78 a month when others want £38. Plus they want £50 admin charge and £260 one off fee too. It’s absolutely disgusting that they can quote £600 more than other providers for exactly the same cover. Further to this, they can’t even quote a cancellation fee over the phone… Honestly in 15 years of driving I’ve never ever dealt with such an awful insurance company. I’d like someone to contact me to resolve this - I want to cancel this ridiculous policy and not pay your ridiculous get out charges. Reviewed on: 12th August 2023

Avoid Avoid!!!! This company is the worst insurance company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with and I have had insurance over the last 30 years. First and foremost you cannot easily contact them. I've tried to call them on numerous occasions and been on hold for anywhere between 20 - 35min before you getting to speak with anyone. The online chat is a robot which is absolutely useless. Cancelled my policy online, however they kept emailing me to say my car which I had sold was insured twice (by the new owner). Had to call and wait 25mins before speaking with some useless woman who said cancelling online did not mean I had cancelled my policy. Then for cancelling the agreement early they spank you for the most ridiculous amount of money I have ever had to pay (almost the cost of my insurance) and I have only been with them 2 months. Unprofessional

Same as everyone else, the past 4 times we tried to get through the say "our systems are down" then abruptly hang up after waiting on hold for over 30 mins..... Someone over there needs to sort this out Reviewed on: 31st July 2023

Bad service

In the middle of dealing with a claim with them at the moment, and having phoned up multiple times over the past two weeks to get through and waiting on hold, the operator picks up, says they have system problems and to call back, then abruptly hangs up without giving you a chance to speak. Competitive pricing and good customer service

It was easy to buy and set up an acocunt with them. Decen financing options and easy to get in touch with them if needed. Smooth process overall. Reviewed on: 30th July 2023

Absolutely incompetent

They asked us to send them our driving licence information, which we did, four times but they were too incompetent to even access it. We changed insurer and we have reported them to the Financial ombudsman. Reviewed on: 27th July 2023
