Massive scam

Rubbish service/not regulated by the FCA/based in gibralter/SCAM

somebody recommended to this scam company. Acorn insurance who are the brokers but you are insured with Haven insurance, and they look ways to get more money out of you by finding faults. Paid £3k for the insurance. Going down the line, unfortunately i had a collision. I reported the incident to haven, but when i called they said that it will take 48 hours for the details to come so can you please call after that. Every time you call the answering machine says they cant put you through.When the phone did go through they appointed the solicitors and this company by the name of Rapid vehicle management. i gave them the details of the witness, they send the text without there contact number so the witness cannot call them. I called them everyday and after 7 days they closed my file and they wanted me to repair the car my self and pay for the damages myself and pay for the car hire. Yet the third party are not disputing the fault. It's been 9 days and i haven't got no replacement car or got my car repaired. I checked on the FCA website about the Rapid vehicle management it's status this is what it says ' This is an appointed representative (AR) that is no longer an agent of an authorized firm. Do not start to do 'REGULATED' business with an AR that is no longer registered'. This is also from the FCA ' Insurance Distribution A firm that offers or sells insurance products and services This firm is unable to undertake insurance distribution. For me it's a nightmare just has started. I have to ask a accident management company to sort everything out for me. Please please spread the word about this scamming company. Acorn insurance/haven insurance/Rapid vehicle management. One more thing the Haven insurance is based in Gibraltar EEA and not in regulation of UK government regulation. POOR REPAIR SETTLEMENT

Haven Insurance comprehensive car claims do not allow you to have your car repaired at the garage of your choice. If they do back down, they will only pay you a cash figure based on the same very cheap rates that they have negotiated with their own repairers. This is net of VAT and so you would still have to pay VAT to your own repairer! Still, this is probably better than the basic type of repair that you can image would be carried out at these “at the bone” rates by one of their own repairers. Avoid if at all possible. poor customer service,no follow up,dodgy contractors...beware

Needed to jump start my car parked on my drive ,as battery discharged ..After 30 min on the phone to Heaven's customer service-(premium number which cost me over £20...)they have sent a recovery vehicle with mechanic who asked me to show him 'a positive ' pole in my car.??..he then summoned further assistance..another mechanic arrives to assist him in jump starting my vehicle-(from JD Madden garages LTD)-.Not only the mechanic didn't know what he was doing,he then asked me to sign a box in his electronic device,which I did.When I asked what I was signing,I was told not to worry,copy of report would be send by e-mail....It was sent -only report was totally fabricated-report stated that 'rear lift' was performed...along with 'faulty alternator' -identified.When I complained to Heaven insurance,they have said sometimes reports are 'not totally accurate''...They offered to put a flag on my insurance,making sure that JD Madden LTD,would not assist my car in the future..I have asked for correct report,nothing has been done so far(reported on 21/8/18......Certainly won't be renewing my car insurance..Will be passing my complaint to FO unless resolved promptly. I have got a small incident with another car very lightly. They charge me £500 and they have doubled my premium. Haven is very bad company. I would like to put ZERO rate but unfortunately does not exist. Reviewed on: 13th August 2018

Brilliant service, reasonable prices

Used Haven for my car insurance as I'd just come off a ban and had a couple accidents against my name everywhere else was quoting me £4000+ got my policy sorted from haven through one answer for just £2200. Very happy with the service and the prices wouldnt be on the road if it wasn't for this company. Reviewed on: 19th May 2018

Terrible customer service... Called them and Informed about cancelling my insurance policy as I sold my car. They told me to email the request. No reply or confirmation even after two weeks. But, Instalment for insurance has been charged for next month too. I had 5 more months left in my taxi insurance policy. But, customer care recommended not to cancel it and rather get no claim bonus (what a funny advice). They want me to keep the insurance on a car that I no longer own. Further, I was told I will not receive any refund and I will have to pay all remaining instalment for next 3 months even if I cancel the policy. What a rip off. In fact, I will have to pay £1,035 for cancelling a one year policy in 7 months. What a day time robbery?. Who is regulating theses fraudsters..? No haven here... Don't use them... Do not use haven insurance

Car accident was in January we were told car the car was fully authorised by 4 different claims handlers . Wasn’t authorised till March!!! Chris Evans the manager of these handlers promised faithfully he would put a letter with pictures and never did !!! Lies lies lies!!! Do not use this company and the repair company that they told me to go to PerfectFinish in farnworth near Bolton only painted the car a different shade of white ! Terrible service

Had my car for 7 weeks. Only completed half the car, decided that the other half didn’t need fixing. Awful customer service. They only use small garages with useless mechanics. Avoid at all cost. Reviewed on: 22nd March 2018

Don't touch with a barge pole!

Three and a half weeks after my car was picked up by Copart following a total loss accident, that was my fault, I am still waiting to get my money. Have been told 2 weeks running that it will be transferred into my bank account and still waiting. I've lost my job because I need a car to get to and from work and I'm now one month in arrears with my rent! To top it all the settlement figure is seriously low and was non negotiable!
