Couldn’t open an online account

I opened an online ISA account. The account was then suspended for an unknown reason. When I enquired again, I was given an activation key. However there was nowhere on the page to enter this. I tried several times and on the last attempt was told someone would call me but no one did. Disappointed by the experience which wasted a whole morning of my time. System seems very clunky ie. When entering some numbers you have to constantly click on the number button on the keyboard as you enter each number. Good rates offered but no good to me if I am unable to setup an account! Poor customer service

I went into your Burnley branch today to check whether it was possible to open an account today considering it was quite busy. I was told I could. I was asked whether I was an existing customer, After I said I was, I was assured again I could open the account. Therefore I went to get a cheque from another financial organisation for this new account. However after I went back, I was told I couldn’t open the account and I needed appointment. I told branch manager that her staff assured me I could, but she said that member of staff may not have realised the busy situation. I was very disappointed with what happened. It was Monday morning, I had three long queues (two in your Burnley branch, one in another financial organisation). If had I been told I couldn’t do it, I would’ve wasted time to queue two more times. From today’s experience I won’t use Marsden again, and I will recommend to my family and friends either. CLOSED BRANCHES and no statements

when i joined there was a local branch which closed so i had to travel about 12 round trip then closed that,Now if i need to go to a branch its about a 22 mile round trip,Also never seem to get statments. Reviewed on: 8th April 2021

I needed to consider option because my son had been admitted to hospital under a mental health order. Totally lacking empathy, made me feel "small" at a difficult time. "want doctor's evidence". "talk to citizen adv" very poor. Luckily I had Reviewed on: 2nd April 2021
