Good for everything

Efficient. Good at organising your money with pots(with decent interest i may add). Flawless when transferring money to other accounts - i had issues with transferring money to my investengine ISA using HSBC but Monzo worked every time. I am a huge fan of Monzo and have been a loyal customer for nearly six years. I have never encountered any issues with the bank and have only had positive experiences. From receiving my salary a day early to seamlessly transferring money and resolving disputes, Monzo has consistently exceeded my expectations. Reviewed on: 18th November 2024

Asked for statements after closing my account

Closed my monzo account. They sent me an annual statement. Requested on Wednesday 13th November for statements to be sent in a monthly format to me via email. Specially for last 4 months. I know it can take up to 2 working days. But I have sent so many emails and made calls since Wednesday 13th November as it is an emergency and they are just not responding. The agents on the phone cannot do anything to escalate it. This is bad considering it's a simple task to carry out. I am disappointed. My relatives have accounts with Monzo and will advise them better to close it. Very robotic experience and no personal touch or care towards my needs. Reviewed on: 15th November 2024

AVOID THIS BANK! CROOKS AND. CRIMINALS

Monzo Bank froze my account and made the decision to close it, withholding all of my funds and leaving me and my two young children—a six-month-old baby and a toddler—without any way to buy food, pay for heating, or keep our electricity on. I provided Monzo with every piece of documentation they requested, including proof of an incoming transaction from a well-established UK business and all related invoices, yet they have ignored everything. Instead, they’ve kept our money and left us in the dark without a word of explanation. I am horrified by how Monzo has treated us. After repeatedly explaining to them how serious our situation is and showing them proof that we have access to no other means or funds from elsewhere they took the unimaginable step of blocking my phone number entirely from being able to call them and cutting off any way for me to reach them via a call. No calls or messages ever became heated or escalated, I simply begged for help to get my children and me through this crisis. For Monzo to prevent me from even contacting them is heartless and cruel. No bank or financial institution blocks your phone number to ensure it’s harder and difficult for you to obtain your funds and should never treat a customer this way even if they have decided to terminate banking relationship our crime is that a uk business paid us and we provided everything they asked for immediately. This is not how a regulated financial institution should behave—it’s what you would expect from criminals who take your money and disappear, with no thought or care for the people they harm. I am at my breaking point. We are suffering without access to our own funds, and the stress is unbearable. Monzo has shown complete disregard for our well-being even tho stated plenty of times and begged for release of our funds and made them aware on numerous occasions about the young children,Their actions are unethical, unprofessional, and shockingly inhumane. Everything I need in one Place! I love the Monzo current account as it shows me exactly where I'm spending my money, it allows me to put spend triggers in place for money management, I have seperate pots for specific spending and savings.
