i have full home and contents cover and tried to claim ....More than have said that i am not covered for water damage due to the storm over the weekend? Wind was not recorded at 46 mph so doesn't constitute storm and therefore no cover. its a joke. avoid at all costs Reviewed on: 1st August 2018

poorly managed, poor service

I had a leak in my bathroom, covered by the policy. After much toing and froing someone came out, couldn't fix it and said it is not covered. I paid a plumber, came out fixed it in half a hour. Reviewed on: 17th July 2018

Good service

Have had to make a claim a few times. Very good service. 4 stars instead of 5 as they bumped up the cost of the policy by £300. It was brought down by £270 after one phone call which was quite disappointing as a loyal customer Reviewed on: 17th July 2018

Energergeny is not an emergency at all for morethan

I had an home emergency cover with home insurance with morethan, called for help with water leaking from my cylinder of system boiler. They subcontract their work to somebody where there is a process of estimate ,approval etc is involved. Water is still leaking and it’s almost 4 weeks Never going to take insurance from them again Kumar Reviewed on: 22nd May 2018

Great customer service

We have been with More Than for a few years now. Our contents insurance with home emergency cover has recently proven invaluable. We contacted them to report what we thought was a water leak from a pipe to the toilet. The customer service was professional and courteous. A plumber came within a couple of hours, he then told us the problem was more serious, he couldn’t fix it immediately and took photos to send to More Than. We then recontacted More Than to find out what was happening to be told that the problem couldn’t be resolved over the weekend but as it was our only toilet that we would be offered overnight accommodation. The people dealing with this side of it contacted us swiftly, were very helpful and put my daughters mind at rest. The only downside for my daughter was that she had to try disinfecting the toilet area located behind a built in wall....not a pleasant or an easy task! However, so far the help from More Than has been seamless and of a very high standard. I hope it continues to the end of the repair, As it stands, we will definitely be insuring with them again next year, even though the premium will no doubt increase. So far, a price worth paying. Shameful service

To say the customer service is poor is not an accurate assessment, as there is absolutely no customer service at all. Being burgled is bad enough, having to deal with More Than and their associated partners is probably as bad as they are just as criminal in the way they operate. They avoid calls, emails and find a loop hole in every aspect of the claim. Having paid a hefty £700 premium for home and content cover, the burglary has left me out of pocket to cover the items damaged or stolen. No consideration or interest whatsoever and adamantly refuse to inform you of any complaint process. MORE THAN ? I don`t think so. Reviewed on: 20th March 2018

YOU MUST READ THIS!

Been with 'More Than' house insurance for several years which was fine until we come to make a claim. The roof of the house started leaking in the master bedroom, over the bed and above the bedroom window. We reported this to 'More than' who then informed us that WE need to get a roofer out and identify the root cause of the problem! We were also told to submit estimates for the repair work. The roofers came out and identified the root cause being damaged caused by two large trees at the side of the house. When we submitted the quotes to 'More than' they then contacted us to say they would NOW be sending one of their surveyors out. He arrived when we had three inches of snow covering the whole of the roof. He didn't go on the roof and he didn't even go in the loft, he did go over the road and took a picture showing a snow covered roof with two big trees at the side. So you can imagine our surprise when several days later he reported that the leaking was caused by normal wear and tear which is NOT covered under the policy. BE WARNED, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW CHEAP THE COVER COSTS, IT'S NOT WORTH IT IF THEY ARE GOING TO WRIGGLE OUT OF SETTLING ANY CLAIMS!!! Reviewed on: 21st December 2017

Good until an emergency arises

I recently had my living room window smashed. As I couldn't get through on the telephone I made an online claim as was suggested. what they don't tell you though is that takes 24 hours to process. I managed to call in and they put me through to the company they use for emergencies - VPS. That company came out and boarded up the window. So far so good but now comes the major problem - the so called emergency repairs service "VPS" (Probably stands for very poor service) are not going to be able to replace my window for 2 weeks. They claim it will take 5 days to order the glass and then another week before they can fit it. In the meantime I have a wooden board covering the window, a cold house and my husband sleeping downstairs as we don't feel safe. It's a complete joke. Reviewed on: 8th December 2017
