My first choice

I’ve used Nationwide since I was born for finance - they are always so helpful and friendly compared to other banks, making it feel more comfortable. They offer great member rewards and I love the Fairer Share payments. Their current accounts are simple to use but come with all the functionalities you need, and the app is gradually getting better. I have most confidence in dealing with Nationwide, especially in the speed if you do need to call them. Reviewed on: 11th March 2024

A rarity: a bank with a local branch

Glad to have a local branch but miss some of the benefits of best online banks, such as instant notification of transactions. Overall satisfied with my switch. Not needed help or advice in branch yet but appreciate the facility being there and also the inside cashpoints. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2024

You don’t need to bank anywhere else!

I have banked with Nationwide Flex account for 15+ years and the bank account, app and in person service is second to none! I also love the little winner draws they sometimes run, even if I haven’t won it’s a great idea. I love nationwide and always talk about them! Reviewed on: 15th April 2024

Been with his bank organisation 1985. It's a building society rather than a bank, but provides dividends to its members, who are also account holders. Only downsides are overdraft rates of 42%, which are requirements from the bank of England, and customer service phone lines for flex account customers can be very slow. The FlexPlus and premium rate accounts receive a much quicker response. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024
