Review of the Post Office, Travel Insurance:

Do not use "Post Office" travel insurance take a net...

1
Do not use "Post Office" travel insurance take a nettle with you at least when you touch it you will know you have been stung. Mere criminals maskarading as legitimate traders. We all know insurance is a con in most cases, not worth the paper it's written on but never thought such a recognised brand could act so low. Living in a rural area with no public transport or contactable taxi service, our own vehicle our lifeline about to set out 04:15 for flight 07:15 discovering our battery was flat and rushed around for an alternative, try that in a rural area 5am. Long story short missed my flight and paid a rescue fee to Easyjet next available flight, 3 days later obviously missing that period of my holiday also. Having this misfortune remembering my Post Office insurance I saw a very dim light at the end of the tunnel, which was soon extinguished when I reached out to "Post Office" claims call handlers. Twice relaying my predicament they hung up, all stuck in some sweat shop in India, had loose understanding of the English language and even less in the use of the language. Then questioned like a criminal as if I intensionally missed my flight, loosing three days of my holiday!!. Luckily I've had the misfortune of coming across such charlatans before and well versed in the services of the Financial Ombudsman, which I can assure the Post Office is where they are going to be overhauled. Best Travel Insurance Company Ever!

5
A few years back whilst on holiday our room got broken into and a few things were stolen. My camera was probably the most expensive item taken but The Post Office Travel Insurance were absolutely outstanding and sorted everything out for us leaving us with as less stress as possible. They really were brilliant! Ever since that incident I always use them for my Travel Insurance! Reviewed on: 14th July 2019

Excellent value and comprehensive

The insurance policy covered me for a pre existing condition . Usually you would have to pay a lot extra for this, and I struggled to find low cost travel insurance to cover me. The post office was just perfect. Reviewed on: 10th July 2019

The Best Insurance Ever

I was In Bali and Suffered a Monkey Bite. The Treatment for all the vaccines and medicine required is ridiculously expensive. Thanks to this great insurance I was covered and able to receive the full treatment needed. Reviewed on: 10th July 2019

Easy to understand

While the policy was quite expensive, and could be a bit more generous on certain situations (e.g. only covers £500 for natural disasters), it is straightforward and easy to understand, and the process for getting a quote and buying the policy was also very easy, which I really appreciate. Had to go for emergency dental app and claimed £88.00. They wrote my claim fail because i excess £150.00 (wtf) and my policy says about £250.00 anyway Reviewed on: 16th May 2019

Gadget Purchased - Still No phone after more than a month.

1
I purchased gadget cover with my travel insurance, unfortunately, I had to make a claim last month. I had to wait a week for a telephone interview to answer questions, then had to fill in additional information on a form and send it away. It has now been more than a month and I still havent heard anything about the status of my claim. Reviewed on: 15th November 2018
