Love BA Amex but.

I love my BA Amex due to the points I can collect. But, I recently got a letter from AMEX re miscommunication of benefits (some travel delay thing). I think it's pretty poor for a firm like AMEX to make such a basic mistake. Reviewed on: 7th January 2019

Not renewed

Decided not to renew. Simply presented the same option via email without any real attempt to see how the business has evolved and whether the cover was still sufficient. Honestly can't see the point of an insurance broker if this is the extend of the service they provide. Reviewed on: 18th August 2017

Good on the face of it

I received a cold call from AMEX re the business charge card. On the face of it the benefits look good, but the £125 annual fee is not made as clear as it could be and the sales effort came across quite aggressive. Reviewed on: 29th May 2017

Tried to cancel a card, but as I no longer have the card...was told I had to write in. When asked if I could cancel via a secure message (I still have access to my online account), I was told that wasn't possible...tried it anyway, and my request has been accepted. Asking me to write in to cancel is unacceptable in this day and age. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Hard to understand statements

Thinking of switching

Have been without internet banking as my secure key has given up and branch had 'run out' last time I walked past one that was open. Call today took 5 min to be answered. In the grand scheme of things not that bad...but calls to premier banking are normally answered much quicker 15-30 secs. Reviewed on: 17th December 2016

Good service in Newcastle branch

I was told I needed to go into branch to get a letter required by our investors. I was met promptly and my request was dealt with within 10 min. Knocked off a star, as would have been easier for them to email or mail me this letter! Reviewed on: 28th September 2016

My personal secure key had come to the end of its life (I had it for years), so needed a new one. Branch staff wee helpful and the process of setting it up worked. Not sure why secure keys are still needed though... Reviewed on: 14th September 2016

I opened an account online years ago but never deposited any funds in it. I still receive annual paper statements on my £0 balance though which feels a bit redundant. Reviewed on: 8th September 2016

Noddle provide a 'free' credit report, but this service doesn't help you to understand the pros/cons behind your score...you need a paid upgrade to view this content...or to take out a free trial with a competitor. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2016

Not had any issues with this card, but I no longer carry it around as I like the added value I get with my AMEX card, so tend to use that as my go-to option. Also prefer keeping all of my credit spend on one card so that I can better track it. Reviewed on: 21st April 2016

Logged in the other night to find that this account is no more. Instead of a good interest rate product, I've been moved to a sub <1% savings account. Not great. Looking for somewhere else to move my money too now! Reviewed on: 21st March 2016
