I have been with Halifax for my account for over a year now and I have to say that they are a great company. My account is easy to manage online, from paying bills to sorting out an overdraft or transferring money it is all hassle free. They are easy to get in contact with when I need them and the in branch staff are incredibly helpful and polite. I particularly like paper free statements and letters as it cuts down on paper work and everything I need to know is readily available online.

I took out car insurance last April as the price was competative. They have been a great company, no problems. My renewal quote has gone up by half so i will be leaving. All things considered its a good company just dont automatically renew.

Last june i needed to switch bank accounts. I chose Halifax as i could open the account quickly and easily online. I chose my switching date and all my direct debits and payments were switched for me and my old account was closed. Within 48 hours Halifax had paid me my switching bonus. I have been with them 9 months now and am very pleased. Great bank.

I find Yorkshire Bank to be a very good basic bank and I am happy to recommend it to others. I can run my account via app or telephone banking or in branch. The branches are small but friendly and unfortunately the queues can be very long and slow.
