They offer you are supposed credit facility on Amazon, and even give you a credit limit, but then when you try to use it they turn you down. I have never in all of my 44 years on this planet come across such a ridiculous system. Surely you either have credit or you don’t. I am amazed that Apple and Amazon continue to associate themselves with this joke of a business.

Premier used to be a great service, but Barclays have gradually cut the benefits to virtually zero. All you get now is a black debit card, a higher cash withdrawal limit and a free £500 overdraft. Oh, and UK call centres.

When you apply online for a Santander loan, they expressly commit to letting you have a decision within 2 working days. I applied a week ago and so far nothing.
