They offer £135 to switch for a reason - DON'T DO IT

I have been a customer with Halifax since 2011 and have had ongoing problems with them. Over the years my debit card gets unexpectedly blocked by Halifax when they decide there has been a few too many transactions (online shopping etc.) I have complained several times about how they will just block a card and do nothing to resolve it. Recently I have decided to switch because I had my purse stolen in town, with both my Halifax credit and debit cards in. I received the credit card (not working, contactless not authorised) and from 15th Feb as of today 26th Feb I have yet to receive my debit card. No response from Halifax, have had to rely on cash from family for the past 2 weeks and have embarrassingly had to hand things back at checkout when cash couldn't cover it. I am completely dependent on Halifax and they leave me without any cards for nearly 2 weeks. Opening a case with Financial Ombudsman out of principle. Can't wait to switch to RBS Reviewed on: 26th February 2019
