Halifax now give you a fiver a month for having a current account with them. Initially this was only given if you got paid over £1000 (or was it £1500?) a month, which i thought was a bit unfair as the people that would appreciate it the most wouldn't receive it. However now the pay in limit is less. They also offers with various companies if you use your card i.e 10% cashback if you use your card at Nandos, Morrisons, Argos etc.

You can't really go wrong with getting your travel money from the post office. The rates are always competitive, they often put up offers which gives you one of the best exchange rates and they are trustworthy. No problems.
