I joined Starling in early 2018 for their clever handling of Euro payments and cash withdrawals ready for my holidays. The speedy notifications and ease of use blew me away whilst I was abroad so as soon as I got back I switched to Starling as my main account. I have not looked back. Customer service is excellent and the app features represent modern banking as it should be. Reviewed on: 9th February 2019

An Improvement on Barclays

We switched to Yorkshire Bank after a 20 year relationship with Barclays that turned sour when we were denied a small, short-term overdraft facility. Yorkshire's sign-up procedure was all very positive and their online services work well but we have had similar problems in accessing finance and a lack of relationship management. We are likely to change supplier this year. Reviewed on: 16th January 2017
