On the whole, my experience with Nationwide has been excellent. I use the local branch, and have used teleconferencing within the branch to complete applications managed by head office.
However there are still a few processes that rely on printed forms collected at branch and sent to head office, and on several occasions I have had forms returned as I had been given the wrong one for the action I had wanted to complete.
Branch staff are very friendly and I get the sense that they enjoy working for the company. I also think of Nationwide as a bank that will engage with customers as people, rather than purely focusing on profit. This is as a result of comparing products with other providers.
