Poor experience with Capital One

1
Now the card itself was alright, no complaints with regards to payment limits etc. but when I wanted to change my address, boy did I have a job! In total, I spent almost three hours on hold (yes, I did time it! That's how bored I was!) over the course of three days trying to change my details. I really don't know why they were incapable of either answering the phone or putting me through to the correct department but I paid the balance shortly afterwards and cancelled my card. If they can't even manage a simple request like this, I dread to think how they are treating our personal data. So whilst I appreciate that this is more of a rant than a review, there are more cards of this ilk around these days, offering similar interest rates and I feel sure that they would offer a far superior service. Fantastic customer service!

People are always quick to jump on their bank as soon as they make the slightest mistake and quite rightly so - after all, we are trusting them with our hard earned cash. When things go as they should, though, we tend to keep quiet about it. That's why I want to share my experience of banking with Natwest with you. I've used quite a few banks over the years and Natwest trumps the lot in terms of customer service. Problems and queries are dealt with quickly, be it online or in the branch. They also keep later opening hours, including Saturdays and have a range of fee-free extras such as Overdraft Control (which basically stops you from being charged if a Direct Deit is rejected) and a cash back scheme where you can earn on certain purchases made with your Natwest debit card. Overall, I'd give them 9 out of 10. They only lose a point due to the branch nearest to my house closing. Fortunately, the next branch is right by my workplace so I haven't been too inconvenienced but I'm sure people who are less mobile for whatever reason have been put at a disadvantage.
