Staff were very helpful and explained what was required and phones were answered promptly

I was concerned that account payment details were given to me with a phone call to me. I was not happy with this security and requested this information by secure email which was then sent to me so that i could transfer fund within the tight deadline of 5 working days. The second account i opened I sent a checque writen out to myself by recorded post to to overcome my security concern. I am also concerned now what will happen at maturity and how I will receive the return of my funds. Reviewed on: 28th December 2023

Superb customer service, great savings rate

I selected a savings account with H&RBS, and as I do not live close to a branch I completed the account opening application by post, and expected to wait some time for a response as it was sent over the Christmas holiday. I was delighted to receive a call on the first possible business day to confirm that my account was already opened, and further calls to confirm receipt of the funds. The customer service I received could not have been better, and I am very happy to deal with the Coalville branch. Reviewed on: 28th December 2023

Always fantastic customer service!

I opened 2 young saver accounts for my grandchildren. We had our mortgage & savings with H &R and it is just the most friendly place to go to. Jeanette at Rugby has always been our point of contact & she’s as lovely now as she was many many years ago. Just the nicest person & a smiling constant in the Rugby office. Very disappointing

Hello, This was our first time applying for a mortgage and we were quite disappointed in the service we received from HRBS. The biggest factor in this was timeline, and that almost every time we were given a timeline for decisions/replies they were never stuck to. We appreciate that this is likely due to a high caseload and not down to any one person or intentional, but nonetheless it was a significant source of stress during the house buying process. I was given really clear and informative advice on my existing savings accounts and which accounts would benefit my personal circumstances. It was an immediate face to face experience, where I could open an account following advice given. I did not have to wait for an appointment or have to go online. Great service. I applied to Hinckley & Rugby to open a 30 Month Fixed ISA. I was a bit surprised that they would only accept an application by post but have to say that the whole process worked well. I would definitely recommend them for a savings account. Reviewed on: 11th December 2023

Amazing staff, but would have just done it online if possible

We had a fantastic experience with your team. The branch staff were welcoming, helpful and kept us informed after our onsite visit. The only thing I would have changed, is to offer the service online. Our closest branch was 30 mins drive away, and most people in my demographic (and younger) would prefer to perform a digital journey anyway. The branch staff mentioned youight be working on digital options soon so, as I digitise customer journeys for financial services companies, please feel free to reach out if I can help in anyway (e.g. input into design or user feedback processes).
