Cancelled insurance

I got my insurance with Tesco bank and they sent an email asking for proof of my no claims, in the email they said if they didn’t receive it my policy would be cancelled in 7days. I sent my proof of no claims and 7days later my policy was still cancelled! When I called to ask what was going on I was told the department that cancelled the policy was closed and they couldn’t discuss it with me and told me to call Back in the morning. When I did I was told that I hadn’t sent all the documents they needed, they want a copy of my v5, back to back of my licence etc etc.(things I’ve never been asked for before when getting insurance) I told them that I hadn’t been asked for these documents in the email and it was the first I had heard of it. If I had known why would I only send one document in? It doesn’t make sense for me not to do that! They said they had sent a letter which I didn’t receive and that was that. There was nothing they could do, my policy was cancelled and I was never allowed insurance with them again! Terrible customer service and would never use them again. Reviewed on: 16th July 2019
