I moved to HSBC with hopes I could prove myself as a loyal customer and eventually apply for the mortgage with them. I tolerated clumsy app, very polite but not helpful customer service and poorly managed branch service. Then I discovered that no matter how loyal I am, I could still get a better offer via a broker rather than on my own via my bank. And I'm not even going to talk here about their credit card services.

As a bank, they give me everything I need, security with virtual cards, a great app, make it simple for me with bills and pots. Customer service is excellent and friendly, and just a touch away so I don't have to queue. One extra thing I would like is to have an option of having a different currency pots or something - it's nothing I need, but it would be nice to have.

... but I reduced the rating from what I would normally give. Luckily I didn't require their service but making insurance arrangements was straightforward and easy, for a good price. Reason why I lovered the rating is shady approach to this award thing where they promise you to be included in £1000 prize draw with t&c applied - there are no clear t&c and they can't be found on the website. I find that practice rather suspicious and makes me question their ethics and be concerned about how would I be treated by them if I required to use the policy.
