I dont usually write reviews but Halifax have really screwed us over. We were due to complete our house today and move in but last minute Halifax said they did not receive our solicitors letter. This was at 9am and followed by 4 hours of calls and 2 hours of being on hold only to find out that it was actually too late for them to send a confirmation email on a Friday. Now we have no home and nowhere to live until Tuesday. This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. Do not get your mortgage with Halifax, go anywhere else. The staff are really inefficient and really unhelpful and you will spend hours trying to get hold of someone on the phone only realise it was a total waste of time.
