Blocked card day 1 of my holiday abroad

Day 1 of my holiday they blocked my card. I called them and their automatic system of entering my DOB was telling me my DOB was incorrect (it wasn't) I was then asked some ridiculous security questions such as what year did I open the account (i wasnt 100% of the year as I've had for around 3 or 4 years, so i 'failed' the security questions despite knowing all the normal questions... and then they promptly blocked my card and said i could only get this unlocked my going into a branch in england. Well I couldn't possibly do that as I was in USA for the next 3 weeks and now with no credit card! I had set up the voice recognition and told them I knew all of the normal security questions and pleaded with them to go through the security process again but they couldn't care less and left me stranded abroad without my card. I closed the account down there and then. They knew it was me as they let me shut the account down funnily enough! Ridiculous!! Do NOT rely on this card abroad as I've had numerous nightmares with it since they stopped asking you to tell them when you're going abroad. I'm submitting a complaint. Unreliable and ridiculous.
