Easy to use account and excellent customer services

I walked into my local Halifax and had my account set up and ready to go in less than an hour. The person setting up my account was very welcoming, offering me a drink etc and explained every step of the process. She also set up my mobile banking app while I was there and explained how this and the online account worked. I came out feeling really confident in my decision to choose Halifax for my current account. Both the mobile and online banking systems are very quick and simple to use. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a current account to choose Halifax. Reviewed on: 10th May 2017

Great if you want lots of letters upping your limit, but not if you just want to view your balance.

I ended up with a Barclaycard when they took over my original credit card company. When they first took over everything was great and all correspondence was paper based. When they moved over to online systems I ended up with almost weekly letters telling me I can have more and more credit with them, but getting logged into the system has been so far impossible. Their customer service staff have been less than helpful and as a result, I have no clue what my balance is and if I'm paying enough. I can't even pay it off. They are obviously so big that they don't value their customers anymore. Reviewed on: 10th May 2017
