Several years ago we got this for use abroad and it has been more trouble than it’s worth. Even if we pre advise of a trip (which they say we don’t need to do) any payment is invariably blocked. Twice they’ve assumed fraud and cancelled the card (and will only send a replacement to your home address within a week) so we couldn’t use it again for the rest of the trip. We end up using our UK card which costs far more than using a card that is less competitive than Clarity but does actually work when abroad. So now we just take lots of cash (at online rates) and whatever is left is then a bonus when we go away next time!
