I have been a Barclays bank customer for 17 years Never had any issue with my account, always in credit, always had my wages paid in monthly and could never fault them on most services. However not so long ago I went into the bank with my fiance as we wanted to open a joint account and the lady behind the desk basically refused to let us open a joint account and in a round about way said it was because she suspected us of trying to open a fraudulent account. As I said I have never had any issues, but you would have thought a long standing customer would have been treated better face to face - we went to my fiances bank after we left and they had no problems with us opening one so it was Barclays loss. Face to Face service is poor, everything else, great!!
