I found the website really easy to use when applying. There were no hidden costs; everything was there in black and white. Once accepted, the dashboard is easy to navigate and it is simple to change details, make payments or request rates on other borrowing. Can't fault a single aspect from start to finish. Not Great for an Online Bank

I recently switched my current account to First Direct and haven't been overly impressed. For an online only bank, I had problems settings up online banking which wasn't a great start. I had to call a couple of times and to be fair they sorted the issues out quickly but it wasn't the best first impression. The app is also a bit clunky and doesn't update as quickly as I would like; I was previously with TSB and their app was far better. Reviewed on: 30th May 2017

The end to end process was very simple and I was kept informed at all times. The money was transferred on time and without any hitches. Easy to access your account and they even email to let you know when payments have been received. Reviewed on: 30th May 2017
