The Lifetime ISA is the Gift that Keeps on Giving

5
I have been a Skipton Building Society customer for over 3 years now, and it is without a doubt one of the best decisions I have made in my adult life. The first product I used was the Lifetime ISA. Without this account I would not be the position I am in right now where I can put in offers on properties to buy. The 25% interest applied to any savings is frankly incredible! The fact that savings in a Lifetime ISA can only be withdrawn (without penalty) for a first-time buyer mortgage or retirement has been fantastic as it has allowed me to commitment to saving for my future. Admittedly, without the penalty I may very well have wasted a significant proportion of my savings instead of securing it for my future. I will be forever grateful for this product from Skipton Building Society and I know that it has given me the 'leg up' that I needed towards being able to buy my first home! Community Credit at its Best

The great thing about Glasgow Credit Union is that it is run as a cooperative, that is owned by its members, and all members have an equal voice on the direction the credit union takes by voting at the Annual General Meeting every year. I like that there is this democratic element, that is tailored to suit the needs of the people of Glasgow, amd jas been serving the people of the city for over 30 years - my Mother being one of them. She has benefited from the products the Union provides. As a new member, I'm looking forward to investing in this collective pot and building up savings that will support me throughout the rest of my life, and I will certainly look to the Union for credit in the near future as a prospective first time buyer. All of this makes Glasgow Credit Union feel like it offers more than any other lender - it is something you can invest in with your heart as well as with your money! Reviewed on: 9th July 2020
