I was advised across three channels, online, telephone and in branch in person that if my husband was added to my account as a new customer we would receive a 5% rate for 12 months from account opening. I just received out a letter telling me very differently, I'm not happy!

I've always felt confident by having a credit union account with regularly monthly savings, and with having regular monthly savings, if times ever get tough, I'll be seen as a more reliable borrower if I need to apply for a credit union personal loan. The interest rate is pretty good, and if you're not in a hurry with any withdrawals you can do them via the great new wee app for free as a Bacs transfer, only takes a few days. I'm very happy with credit union, and want to soon increase my savings by getting them directly taken out of my wages. I would definitely recommend credit union. Everyone in my family saves with them.
