Travel Insurance claim

Very disappointing level of service from Nationwide in regards to my travel insurance claim. Began claim April 2020 and three months on still no further forward. Their online system to upload documentation is useless, therefore sent my claim documents by recorded delivery. Now Nationwide claim they have not received documents, even though they have been confirmed as delivered and signed for. How convenient ! The Claim process seems to be intentionally designed o be convoluted and difficult - in order that some claimants will eventually give up. Recent reviews confirm Nationwide are struggling to provide any reasonable level of service in this area. I’d recommend cancelling a flex plus current account, the monthly cost is no longer good value as the insurance cover is essentially worthless. Reviewed on: 19th July 2020
