Ridiculous wait times

I've been a Barclays customer for over 15 years and never had a serious problem, until now. Their app and online banking options are usually sufficient to manage my accounts these days, but on the rare occasion I have needed to speak with someone on the phone, I've had mixed experiences. Of course, I'm aware that banks and other companies have longer wait times than "normal" at the moment, but under no circumstances is waiting almost two hours for customer services to answer the phone acceptable. When I finally did get through, the gentleman I spoke to was both polite and helpful. Otherwise, I'd be switching banks immediately. Reviewed on: 11th August 2020
