Nonsense!
I've been called and told that my account will be approved and afterwards received an email that they don approved my selfie - WHICH I DID HOW THEY ASKED and it was accepted.
I'd rather wait and go for the high street bank!
PS: This won't help your credit scoring also.

I would definitely not recommend now! They charge you if you miss the debit during the pandemics, while everyone is helping out.
