Terrible international banking capabilities and short sighted business support staff

We have been with HSBC for 4 years, and despite the easy application process, the service is pretty terrible. This was further recognsied once we started trading internationally . We are charged on international payments which go in and out of our account, and their currency account is merely a savings account.
We approached HSBC for a business mortgage, as as there were risks associated to the building project, HSBC would not even consider us for an application.

Comprehensive cover, but very expensive.
I received the insurance free for the first year with my mortgage package, as cash back. I have just renewed and got it 60% cheaper with another provider.

Unable to easily switch to another account within Halifax

I wanted to switch to the clarity credit card, because of the free international transactions.
However, to do this I had to close my current credit card, and wait 30 days before I could re apply for the clarity

No fee to use it anywhere worldwide and no annual fees. I use this credit card when travelling with work and have had absolutely no problems at all.
