Caravan Claim/ Settlement

We have house insurance with NFU and added a caravan to the policy. In May 2021 on way back from holiday the wheel literally fell off the caravan (we had had new tyres fitted the day before leaving on holiday). The incident happened late Friday night and we contacted NFU on the Monday. The whole claim was so straight forward, got a named person to deal with then our own assessor. The whole process was so stress-free and we received cheque for a replacement van as our van was non-repairable. We got market value which was higher than our purchase price, no arguments, very fair price. We had just fitted a new fridge and we were allowed to put the old one back as well and take all the extras we had put in. I cannot recommend them enough for their customer service, efficiency, friendliness and most important helpfulness. No long waits, just excellent service. Reviewed on: 2nd August 2021
