Only slight downside is that the headline interest rate of 5% lasts for one year only. So on opening anniversary you have to close the account and re-open a new one to continue getting 5% and importantly this needs to be either single/joint to joint/single in order to meet qualifying terms

What is there not to like about the American Express Nectar credit card? Free for first 12 months. Get double nectar points with this credit card and points also with nectar card. Watch out for special sign up bonus (events at different times of year)-I signed up in October 2016 and just for spending over £2000 in 3 months will receive £200 nectar points free!!! Only slight negative is card not accepted every where-KFC/Burger king will not accept

Just signed up for this for my family, get a great 3% gross interest rate on up to £2500 and free family holiday insurance,free family phone insurance plus free car breakdown cover. Would not normally pay a £10 per month fee but the interest £75(for me) plus the value of the perks far out way the yearly £120 fee. A great idea and a great account.

If you want 4% gross interest on up to £5000 and 6 x free cinema tickets each and every year you have the account open ,and can pay in £1500 with just two direct debits, each month, then this is surely the account for you! Easy account opening and good customer service which make it a clear winner.
