Obnoxious

I contacted this company following a credit card application and subsequently made a complaint. Nobody got back to me and therefore I chased this. It turns out the complaint was never logged but the worst part of it was the customer service provided from Simon at the Liverpool office. He was the most unprofessional and obnoxious person I have ever spoken to in my life, and refused to take on part of my complaint. He constantly spoke over me and then terminated the call when I had the audacity to ask him to listen to me. You need to get a grip Santander your customer services are shocking and you should not be employing people like this! Like the person said on the escalated call, he made the company look bad!! Incompetent and malicious

Avoid this bank at all costs. Closed all of my accounts without notice when they finally realised that THEY had made an error (after being told immediately) on my bounceback loan 1 year earlier. Put CIFAS markers against me stating no intention to repay when I had already started to repay the loan which is just malicious!!! Refuse to acknowledge their mistakes and refer you to the Ombudsman instantly without investigating customer assertions. They know they are making mistakes but are not bothered and prefer the lazy route of complaint investigation via the Ombudsman. The Account Recovery Team are ignorant and are not prepared to listen. Quality of replies including grammar are poor, as is the quality of staff they employ obviously. Ironically this Bank is accused of fraudulent dealings on a very regular basis. It’s only a matter if time before they are made to pay for their conduct. Reviewed on: 19th October 2021
