2 hour wait times on the phone coupled with their dodgy online payment platform

Tried paying for a policy of £1650, funds left the account but payment platform said it failed to authenticate. Advised the money would be refunded automatically within 3 days, advised over the phone to pay again as I was desperate for insurance today, same happened again. Then advised that it was an issue with some information on the card, so tried again with a friend's card and the exact same thing happened. Insure the box very reluctant to help or ensure the £4950 will be refunded or when, coupled with two phonecalls, one waiting an hour and a half to get through and the other over 2 hours
