Been a customer with Lloyds Bank for more than 40 years and unwittingly have been trapped to take their Platinum Card, the main attraction being the Travel Insurance benefit. After a recent aborted holiday in Africa, I made a genuine claim for costs incurred but Lloyds insurance providers Allianz threw my claim out of the window. I received a follow up call from Lloyds (a hard to understand Customer Service lady with a strong accent) confirming rejection. So all those decades of being on Platinum Card at a cost of £21 a month gone down the drain in one swift excuse that they do not accommodate pandemic related claims.
Avoid being conned and that useless Platinum Card "exclusivity".
