I have held a home insurance policy with Direct Line for many, many years. I have found them, on the whole, quite unhelpful by telephone and the Direct Line Legal team help which is covered by my policy have been working on a simple claim for me for six years with no end in sight. I would love to change providers, but am unfortunately locked in until the legal case ends.

A very trustworthy bank, where I hold several accounts of different types. The main issue of late is the lack of access via the app, which always seems to be crashing or undergoing maintenance. The website is not much better for access and fails to work on Firefox browsers. However, I feel my money is safe in their hands and transfers are the easiest to and from Lloyds by far.

I switched savings to Chip following their great interest rates and have already experienced an increase in interest since applying, which is great. My main issues with the account are that interest is not paid at the beginning of the month, in line with all other banks and that it takes until the fourth working day of the month to receive a bank statement. I also do not necessarily believe their competition account is in line with Premium Bonds as promised. However, for such good interest rates on savings, I am overall happy.
