We really like Nationwide and we've been with them for years and have happily recommended them in the past. However our recent move was made incredibly stressful when they suffered an IT fault on out move day, and were unable to complete our transaction. We were forced into a hotel at short notice. They did resolve the problem and promised compensation, however their initial offer was desperately inadequate and they were difficult to deal with. The matter has now been resolved, but it has left a sour taste to a previously excellent relationship.

They were the insurers recommended by the mortgage company. The deal offered was okay, but good enough that it was worth avoiding the hassle of shopping elsewhere.
