Refused a Basic Business Account - Even After Appeal
1
I'm a second year entrepreneur, and signed up to services from CardOne banking as they did no credit check and had low fees. As my business became successful, I applied to my own bank - HSBC - for an account. No overdraft needed, no lending, just a simple online account. I am an HSBC Premier customer personally, yet my account was declined due to credit score. I did have problems in the past due to redundancy, these were personal issues, and my business has always been in good standing with great cash flow and a 71% net profit after tax achievement in year 1. I appealed to HSBC and they just trotted out credit score and refused. So I am stuck with a very basic banking solution which cannot live link to my accountants software and causes them a lot of pain and manual input. Stuck.
