After a pilot became ill and our flight was cancelled I had to organise hotel rooms for my Mum and myself. I called Nationwide to explain the circumstance and they didn't hesitate, there was no fuss just refunded the amount into my account.

I have always had a nationwide account but in the past few years have changed to Flex direct because of the travel insurance. The customer support is excellent, I recently had trouble claiming back from a flight delay and they helped me, covering my claim and offering me a great deal on long term travel plans.
