Been with 'More Than' house insurance for several years which was fine until we come to make a claim. The roof of the house started leaking in the master bedroom, over the bed and above the bedroom window. We reported this to 'More than' who then informed us that WE need to get a roofer out and identify the root cause of the problem! We were also told to submit estimates for the repair work. The roofers came out and identified the root cause being damaged caused by two large trees at the side of the house. When we submitted the quotes to 'More than' they then contacted us to say they would NOW be sending one of their surveyors out. He arrived when we had three inches of snow covering the whole of the roof. He didn't go on the roof and he didn't even go in the loft, he did go over the road and took a picture showing a snow covered roof with two big trees at the side. So you can imagine our surprise when several days later he reported that the leaking was caused by normal wear and tear which is NOT covered under the policy. BE WARNED, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW CHEAP THE COVER COSTS, IT'S NOT WORTH IT IF THEY ARE GOING TO WRIGGLE OUT OF SETTLING ANY CLAIMS!!!
