They charged me £150 for accidentally going £5 overdrawn.

A few years ago I was in bad health and had no money coming in and I accidentally went £5 overdrawn on my account. They immediately charged me £25. I wrote to them explaining that I had no money and that I couldn't pay it back, and they wrote back saying "tough", and they kept piling on the charges. I eventually managed to lend £150 from a relative to pay the money off, otherwise I expect they would have happily charged me thousands.
