My Virgin Money ISA matured in March and I was offered a swift renewal online. After careful consideration I renewed for another 1 year fixed term with Virgin Money. The renewal was swift and smooth, with clear communications and no issues encountered. The interest rate offered, although had decreased on the previous 12 months, was still very competitive in a downward trending market. Overall I am very happy with my experience as a customer of Virgin Money and would not hesitate to reccomend their range of online ISA products for those looking for a good rate of return and ease of use with minimum fuss. I've been with First Direct since last April and used their switching service to move my current account to them. I decided to move because they offered a generous joining bonus and had a reputation for excellent customer service. The switch went through quickly and painlessly and the joining bonus was promptly paid. I also then opened a regular saver account with an attractive interest rate which was completed quickly and without any issues. In my time as a customer, I have conducted the majority of my business online and everything has been very satisfactory. So much so in fact that I have not had reason to test quality of the much vaunted customer service levels for myself. Long may that continue. The only small drawback I would mention (there must be something) is the app used to access the online account is a bit clunky but only due to the security checks involved but I would say it could do with review to make it a little more user friendly. That said, is a relatively small point and does not take away form my overall experience which so far has been excellent. Highly recommended. Reviewed on: 31st August 2016

Solid As Expected

I have had a mortgage for 8 years. For the majority of that time, my experience has been pretty much plain sailing. I have had no issues at all and when I have had cause to speak on the phone or meet face to face to arrange changes, it has been dealt with in a professional and timely manner. Communications are good and clear with no surprises encountered. All is as I would expect for one of the market leaders in the field. I would recommend without hesitation and would be disinclined to move elsewhere despite what look like tempting offers available at this time. I wish all my other financial experiences from a customer perspective were as dependable as those I've had with Halifax. Reviewed on: 31st August 2016
