A puncture that shredded the tyre left my wife and I stranded on a B road in Shropshire. We phoned Saga breakdown and though there was a lengthy wait of over two hours on a Sunday, a very helpful RAC man eventually arrived at the location and towed the car to the hotel eight miles away where we were booked in. This is our first experience of Saga breakdown and though the experience is never pleasant, it was made much more bearable by the knowledge that help was on its way. The RAC man kept me informed of his location as initially he was about 50 miles away.
