My partner and I earn £80k a year, and were going after a relatively cheap house of £225k, with a £200k mortgage. NatWest tooks weeks and weeks and wasted out time..Because my partner is the director of their own company, NatWest didn't seem to want to lend us any money, even though we've spend years and years paying rent to greedy landlords and never missed a payment. They seem to not want to help people who are self employed or run their own company. I'd suggest avoiding them of you are in a similar circumstances. I bank with NatWest and as soon as I get a mortgage they can get lost, inwojt bank with them again.

They seem to not want to help people who are self employed or run their own company. I'd suggest avoiding them of you are in a similar circumstances.
