Bad customer service

Went into my local branch to pay in money for my son, since I didn't have paying in book thought bank statement would be sufficient, how wrong was I. The lady on the counter spent the whole time giving me alternative methods of paying in money that basically didn't involve her doing her job e.g me paying it into my account which is with another bank and transferring it across, you name it she suggested it. After me pointing out I was standing opposite her ready to pay money in she did it. Surely with banks closing on high street every day Barclays staff would appreciate their custom.
