The renewal quote showed an increase of 194% from the previous year. Having made a claim in the last year an increase was expected but not one which resulted in a premium greater than my house and content insurance!
A call to the customer service centre was pointless - the price reflects the underwriters ratings, last years discount and the recent claim i.e pay the premium and over the next years we recoup what we paid out - insurance??
I contacted another major insurer explaining the recent claim and requesting clarification of impact on a new quote - the result a new quote of HALF the price quoted by Morethan
